The American Osteopathic College of Proctology is the official society dedicated to osteopathic surgeons practicing in the diagnosis, treatment, and advancement of knowledge relating to disorders of the colon, rectum and anus.
The AOCPr strives to upgrade the practice of proctology and to increase the knowledge of the specialist as well as general practitioner in the diagnosis and treatment of proctologic diseases.
The American Osteopathic College of Proctology holds its yearly meeting with the Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons. Educational opportunities in proctologic surgery and colorectal disease are presented, discussed and offered as Category 1-A credit to osteopathic surgeons.

Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month empowers survivors, caregivers and loved ones to share their stories, raise awareness, advocate for policy change and support research.
The American Osteopathic College of Proctology supports this month as a valuable opportunity for all health care providers to educate their community about these diseases and promote awareness of the importance of colorectal cancer screening, prevention, and treatment.
Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths of men and women combined.
The disease is preventable with screening, and highly beatable and treatable if caught at an early stage.
